Refund Policy
Online Returns
Items can be returned within 14 days of purchase for a change of mind. To be eligible for a refund, returns must arrive at our facility within this 14-day period. Please note that refunds can only be processed from the original point of purchase.
To initiate a return, please contact us to outline why you want to return the item. Miss Mariadas does not cover return shipping costs. We will provide a return label for a fee of $10, which will be deducted from your refund.For a successful return, the jewellery must be unworn, unused, and in its original packaging. Jewellery pouches should be intact, free from marks or scuffs, and in new, saleable condition. Miss Mariadas reserves the right to deny returns if items appear used, worn, damaged, or scratched.
Please return items in their original packaging to avoid any damage during transit, as we are not responsible for any loss or damage to parcels that are not adequately protected. We recommend using a tracking service for your return, as we cannot be held liable for lost or damaged parcels.
Non-Returnable Items: Please note that we do not accept returns on earrings for hygiene reasons.
All returns will be processed within approximately 1-3 business days of receipt. During peak seasons and promotional periods, please allow additional time for processing. Miss Mariadas only accepts returns for items purchased directly from our official online store.
Instore Returns
Items purchased at our South Yarra Boutique can be returned to the store for an exchange within 14 days. A proof of purchase will be required to process the exchange. In line with Australian consumer law, we do not offer refunds for change of mind on in-store purchases unless the item is faulty or not as described. Under Australian consumer law, customers are entitled to a remedy for faulty goods, including repairs, replacements, or refunds, at the discretion of Miss Mariadas.
Warranty
Miss Mariadas offers a three-month manufacturer’s warranty on all jewellery purchased in-store and online, effective from October 5th, 2024. To validate the warranty, you must retain the item, the date of purchase, and proof of purchase. This warranty covers manufacturing defects but does not include tarnishing, general wear and tear, chain breakage, neglect, or loss of an item.
The warranty is void if the jewellery has been lost, bent, engraved, altered, or damaged due to misuse or discolouration from scratches and foreign substances.
All metals can tarnish over time, and contact with substances like hand sanitiser, cleaning agents, soap, and cosmetics can accelerate this process. Tarnishing and discolouration from these factors are not covered under warranty. Additionally, scratches from everyday wear are not considered manufacturing defects and will not be covered.
Some of our jewellery is designed for everyday wear and can be worn in water. Please take a moment to read the product description online, as it specifies whether each item is waterproof. If this information is overlooked, we cannot be held responsible. The warranty does cover fading of plating if the underlying silver becomes visible.
Jewellery deemed faulty by Miss Mariadas will be eligible for a replacement, exchange or store credit.

Faulty Returns
Please note: PVD or Gold plated jewellery is not solid gold. If there is a major fault with the style you've purchased, we will offer to repair or replace it where available. If we cannot repair or replace the style, we will offer an online credit note, exchange or refund. All claims for faulty styles are assessed on an individual basis, and the outcome of a refund is at Miss Mariadas' discretion. Please note that wear and tear in the course of normal use is not considered a manufacturing fault. This includes but is not limited to surface scratches, tarnished metal caused by contact with chemicals such as perfumes/skin care and the loss of stones/pearls. Unless the product was received with the fault and we were notified within the 5 day post delivery timeline, the product will not be accepted for a return/refund.If you believe your item is faulty please email us on info@missmariadas.com with a description and photograph within the 5 day time frame.
